Healing Depression Project | Print |  Email

The Healing Depression Project of the Continuum Center for Health and Healing began in 2000 as a research study.  The Multimodal Mind/Body Group Program was developed to treat moderate depression for individuals seeking improvements and adjuncts to conventional treatment -- safe, natural and self-healing strategies that can be incorporated into daily life.  The goal of our Multimodal Program was to help people cultivate positive mind (and physical) qualities -- vitality, calm, compassion, and resiliency -- antithetical to the depressive condition. Our methods combined psychological exploration, self-care training, lifestyle modification, meditation, body movement, and spiritual energy practices.  Healingdepression.org, and the educational resources it offers, is a natural outgrowth of the Multimodal Group Program.  It is dedicated to all those who believe in the inherent ability of mind and body to foster healing, happiness, and growth.
