Dr. Little developed The Healing Depression Website in collaboration with the Continuum Center for Health and Healing (CCHH) to harness the vast power of web technology and to establish a unique mental health resource. This virtual community provides seekers and innovators committed to the healing power of human resiliency access to cutting-edge information, research, and new thinking about depression, patient empowerment, and self-healing. Dr. Little received her doctorate in clinical psychology from City University of New York in 1998, and advanced training at NYU-Bellevue Hospital Center and at BIMC in women’s health and primary care medicine. She was Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, 1999-2007. A founding clinician at CCHH, established in 2000, she was Director of its Mind/Body Program. Dr. Little is the author of numerous scientific publications on depression and mind-body medicine. She has presented widely on integrating psychotherapy and mind-body therapy, stress prevention, pain management, and holistic perspectives on women’s health. She is actively involved in web-based academic and consumer education. She has extensive training in mind/body modalities, such as creative visualization, somatic awareness, meditation, dreamwork, and bioenergy healing, which she integrates into her psychotherapy and psychoanalytic work. She is certified in Ericksonian Hypnosis. Dr. Little is now in full-time private practice and a candidate in psychoanalysis at the William Alanson White Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. |
